Stoke City-Hull City Preview

The euphoria of opening the season with two victories is a quickly distant memory for Hull City, who try to stop the rot Saturday at KC Stadium, where Stoke City are eager to build on their first Premier League victory of 2016-17.

Victories over reigning title-holders Leicester City and Swansea City gave the Tigers (2-1-5) a dream start, but it's been nightmarish ever since. They have just one point over their last six league matches and dropped four on the bounce after a 6-1 pole-axing administered by Bournemouth last weekend in which Hull City allowed five goals without reply.

"We conceded four goals from set pieces on Saturday and that isn't like us at all," defender Curtis Davies told the team's official website. "It was embarrassing and gutless for us and probably the most upsetting performance I've ever been involved in."
