  • CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Reithmayer makes her second Olympic appearance after placing eighth in the Turin Games. She was the second Austrian woman finisher, trailing Veronika Halder, who was fifth. At the 2007 World Championships in Igls, Austria, Reithmayer placed seventh. She finished sixth at the 2008 worlds in Oberhof, Germany, and ninth last year in Lake Placid. Reithmayer, fourth in the 2008-09 World Cup standings and fifth in 2007-08, looks to end the Germans' Olympic dominance of women’s luge. Germany swept the medals in the last two Olympics and has won eight of 12 golds since luge became an Olympic sport in 1964. Reithmayer is a two-time fifth-place finisher at the European Luge Championships.
