CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Weber quickly gained a reputation as one of the league’s best offensive defensemen when he had 17 goals and 40 points in 79 games for the Predators in 2006-07 - his second NHL season. He was limited to 54 games the following year due to knee and leg injuries but rebounded the next season with a franchise record for goals by a defenseman (23) while also setting career highs in assists (30) and points (53). Weber signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the Predators on June 23, 2008.
