A winger who possess blistering pace, Jesper Gronkjaer is a somewhat unpredictable player who is not afraid to have a shot. After playing at 7 clubs in 6 different countries, Gronkjaer certainly has vast experience at club level. English fans will remember him as a Chelsea player, where he scored the goal to seal their place in the Champions League. His previous employers also include Ajax, Athletico Madrid and Stuttgart. He moved to current club FC Copenhagen in 2006 and has found the best form of his career but has been hindered by injuries in recent years. For Denmark, Gronkjaer has been capped over 50 times and was part of their Euro 2000, 2002 World Cup, and Euro 2004 squad. His current role in the squad is an impact player off the bench but is still considered as an important figure for his country.
